A man from Port Adelaide this morning confessed he hasn’t slept a wink since he happily discovered he was a Saturday X Lotto division one winner immediately after the weekend’s draw.
The Adelaide winner held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 3869 on 18 August 2018. Each entry took home a division one prize of $622,806.56.
When an SA Lotteries official made contact with the winner this morning, he admitted he already knew he had scored division one.
“You realise I’ve had two sleepless nights!” he laughed.
“I was out to dinner and came home on Saturday night and just before I went to bed I checked my ticket. Lo and behold I won on the first game in the ticket.
“I called my wife over and said ‘have a look at this!’. Initially I thought we had won $80,000, which is great, but then I had a look again and we’d won a whole lot more!”
“It’s unbelievable! I’m beside myself.”
The man shared he had been made redundant recently, but could now retire thanks to his X Lotto windfall.
He also looks forward to sharing his prize with those at the top of his Lotto List.
“This has hit the nail on the head,” he said.
“The first thing I’ll do is help my kids and my family for the future.”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 36-game QuickPick entry at Port Adelaide Papershop, Shop 11, Old Port Canal Shopping Centre, Commercial Road, Port Adelaide.
It’s the third big win for Port Adelaide Papershop during the past 12 months. It sold a Monday & Wednesday X Lotto division one winning entry worth $1 million in September last year, and a Spot 10 Jackpot ticket worth more than $2 million in December last year.
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday X Lotto and Saturday X Lotto have created 115 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 3869 on Saturday 18 August 2018 were 37, 17, 19, 38, 6 and 26, while the supplementary numbers were 2 and 10.
Across Australia there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 3869 – four from New South Wales, two from Victoria and one from South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 259 so far this calendar year, including 26 won by SA Lotteries customers.
Last financial year, there were 290 division one winning Saturday X Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $302.7 million.
