A Queanbeyan dad and daughter duo admitted they’re feeling “pretty damn good” after receiving a phone call with news they just won $102,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The ACT pair won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10428, drawn Tuesday 1 December 2020.
As well as winning the 1st Prize, the overjoyed pair also won a consolation prize boosting their total windfall to $102,000.
Speaking with an official from The Lott moments after today’s draw, the stoked winners admitted they never expected to receive such wonderful news.
“Oh my god! Holy damn!” the winning woman laughed.
“One hundred and two thousand dollars? Holy! Wow!
“You’ve just become my new best friend.
“What a surprise! That’s fantastic.
“Yeah, I am pretty damn good!
“My dad’s right beside me now. He’s stoked, very happy. I think he’s in a bit of shock!
“What a great win right before Christmas!
“Isn’t it just lovely?”
When asked how the duo planned to enjoy their prize, the elated woman held no hesitation.
“I’d like to put mine towards my mortgage and I’d love to go on a holiday in the new year,” she explained.
“Dad said he needs to get over the shock before he decides.
“We might go out for dinner tonight and make some plans.”
The regular players, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning entry of four consecutive numbers at Blooms The Chemist Karabar, Shop 6, Karabar Shopping Mall, 6-8 Southbar Road & Cooma Road, Queanbeyan.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $3.40 million for draw 1509, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $890,000 for draw 10429.
