A Newcastle dad is looking forward to a grand European tour with his family after scoring more than $1.48 million in the weekend’s Lotto Strike draw.
The Novocastrian held the only division one winning entry in Lotto Strike draw 5241 on Saturday 11 February 2023 and pocketed the entire $1,486,390.10 prize.
“It’s hard to believe!” the man laughed when his prize was confirmed by an official from The Lott this morning.
“My wife and I have been in a state of disbelief since we found out.
“I got into bed on Saturday night, and I checked the app. I thought something was wrong as I could see all the numbers lit up on my ticket.
“Then I thought, ‘I think I might have won something’. Then I told my wife I’d won the whole lot!
“It’s incredible. It’s life-changing for us.
“I’ve probably only ever played Lotto Strike a dozen or so times. It’s very random when I play, but I’m really glad I got this ticket!
“We’re looking forward to helping our children with their mortgages and we’d love to do a European holiday as well. This will allow us to do it in style.”
The winning numbers in Lotto Strike draw 5241 on Saturday 11 February 2023 were 4, 21, 7 and 20.
Lotto Strike is an add-on game played with Saturday Lotto and Monday & Wednesday Lotto. Lotto Strike’s division one prize is won by selecting the first four numbers in the exact order they are drawn during the Lotto draw.
If no one picks all four winning numbers in the draw in same order drawn, the Lotto Strike Jackpot prize pool will jackpot for the next draw.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 266 so far this financial year, including 76 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
