A Randwick man is ready to hit the shops following this morning’s revelation he is now $200,000 richer from the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Sydney retiree won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1139, drawn on Monday 8 October 2018.
Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official this morning to confirm his win, the man expressed his astonishment at landing the 1st Prize.
“Wow! Yeah! Wow! Okay!” he laughed.
“I’m a regular Lucky Lotteries player and I’ve only ever won small prizes in the past. The most I’ve ever won is a couple of hundred dollars. This is something else.”
When asked how he might use his $200,000, the happy winner didn’t hesitate.
“I’ll just spend it!” he chuckled.
As he was retired, the man shared he was used to watching every dollar, but now looked forward to splashing the cash on some much-needed additions to his home.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his entry of one random number at Randwick Newsagency, 21 Belmore Road, Randwick.
Randwick Newsagency team member Lawrence Wong said he was celebrating the outlet selling another ticket that landed one of its customers a major prize.
“It’s great! I’ve been telling everyone coming in this morning that we’ve had another win,” he said.
“We’ve got about 10 plaques on the wall so we’re no stranger to wins, but it’s always nice to have another one.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $22.36 million for draw 1140 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $630,000 for draw 10251.
