A Redcliffe man was in the middle of school drop off this morning when he finally answered a call with news he’d won $1.81 million in a recent Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Queensland player held one of the 11 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4257 on Saturday 7 May 2022. Each division one winning entry scored $1,818,181.82.
When an official from The Lott called the winner this morning, he was driving and had to pull the car over to hear the exciting news.
“Thank you very much! I had no idea. I’m just doing the school drop off,” he cried.
“You were very persistent with your calls this morning, so I knew I had to answer.
“I wish I had answered earlier! But I usually ignore calls from numbers I don’t know. I’m sorry!
“I’m in so much shock right now. I can’t stop shaking!
“I’ve been struggling a bit these past few years, so this is life-changing for me.
“This is an absolute miracle. You’re an angel!
“I’ve been playing for years, but I’ve never won anything like this. It’s a dream come true!
“I can’t believe I’m a millionaire! I never thought this day would come.
“I’m in so much shock that I don’t know how I’ll celebrate. I can’t stop shaking. I don’t think I can do anything right now but sit down and try and take this all in.
“I’ll use the prize to buy myself a house and look after my family.
“This is the greatest gift I could ever ask for. Thank you so much. I could cry right now.”
