Two Redland City residents received a winning start to their week yesterday with each winning the 1st Prize in separate Lucky Lotteries draws.

A Redland Bay man and a Victoria Point man held the 1st Prize winning entries in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1683 and Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10859, drawn on Monday 8 July 2024. They each won $200,000 and $100,000 respectively.

$200,000 win brightens Redland Bay man’s Monday

A Redland Bay man has confessed there’s no better way to start the working week than with a $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win.

“That’s the sort of news you want every day!” the man exclaimed when his win was confirmed by an official from The Lott.

“I have a Subscription, so I don’t normally check my tickets. I just have little wins and it grabs me an entry into the next draw.

“This is certainly the best prize I’ve had so far!

“That’s good news for a Monday!

“This will help take a chunk of the home mortgage, which will be fantastic.”

The man purchased his entry of 10 consecutive numbers via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

Victoria Point man ready to shift gears with $100,000 win

A Victoria Point man is ready to make exciting plans with his wife after winning $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot – but the first priority is getting the car serviced.

“This is absolutely wonderful,” the man exclaimed when speaking to an official from The Lott.

“It’s fabulous!” his wife added.

“I always buy a ticket into Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot, and I always check when they’ve been drawn.

“We’d been out for lunch and saw it had been drawn so I checked my ticket.

“Initially I thought it was $100! I haven’t seen that many zeroes in a while.

“I thought, ‘Crikey! Holy macaroni!’.

“It’s been a grey day but not so gloomy now.

“We were saying our car needs a service, so we’ll do that first.  After that, who knows!”

His winning entry of nine random numbers was purchased at Town Centre News Victoria Point, Shop 13, Town Centre, 355-369 Colburn Avenue, Victoria Point.

Town Centre News Victoria Point owner Mila Pinto said she was thrilled to have sold a major prize-winning ticket to a local customer.

“We’re excited to have sold our first 1st Prize winning ticket and we look forward to many more,” she said.

“Congratulations to our winner. We wish them all the very best with their prize.”
