A routine day of home improvements turned into a rollercoaster of excitement for one Redlands man, who discovered his $100,000 Lucky Lotteries win mid-brushstroke while painting the house.
The Queenslander held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10963 on Tuesday 22 April 2025.
“I was up the ladder painting!” the man exclaimed when speaking to an official from The Lott.
“That’s absolutely fantastic! Thank you!
“It will help buy the paint. I’m painting the whole outside of the house… yuck!
“Maybe with this, I can get someone to help me.
“You know, I just had a funny feeling about this draw, so I bought an extra ticket – which is a good thing as it’s won the prize.
“I just saw the draws were selling out very quickly and sometimes there’s multiple draws on a single day and sometimes I miss getting a ticket.
“I might take the afternoon off from painting now.
“You’ve certainly made my day and week!”
The man’s winning entry of two random numbers was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
