A Berry Springs local has declared he is ready to retire after today’s revelation that he won division one in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw.

The happy winner held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3859, drawn on Saturday 14 July 2018. Each winner took home a division one prize of $672,883.61.

Speaking with a Tatts official this afternoon to confirm his win, the thrilled winner admitted he always believed he would one day win division one in TattsLotto.

“Wow, winning is as good as I thought it would be - I love TattsLotto,” he laughed.

“I always thought I would win one day. I just knew I was going to win, so I have been waiting for this day.”

The Territorian man explained how he came to discover he was the regions latest division one winner.

“I only just flew back from a holiday and so I decided to go and buy some new lottery tickets and check my old tickets while I was there and that’s when I found out I had won. I am feeling pretty happy now,” he exclaimed.

“The numbers are picked randomly. We picked those numbers years and years ago and I’ve been playing the same numbers since then. I was waiting for them to deliver my win and they finally have.”

When asked what he planned to do with his windfall, the happy man confessed he would share it with those people on his Lotto List.

“Firstly, I will give some to my family. Family will always come first,” he said.

“Then we will go on a few holidays. I want to travel somewhere I haven’t been before - I will tick off some more locations on my list.

“I am going to do up my car and buy a new one. My new car will be on the road within a week I hope!

“I would also love to retire. I had planned to retire over the next few years, but now I can do it sooner.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 4-game marked entry at Coolalinga Newsagency, Shop 3, Coolalinga Shopping Centre, Coolalinga.

Coolalinga Newsagency manager Di Watts said the outlet was thrilled to have sold a division one entry to one of their valued customers.

“It was so nice to deliver that news to him!” she explained.

“He is one of our regular customers, so we are really happy for him. It feels very good to have sold that ticket.

“We have been telling all of our customers we sold a division one winning ticket, put up some decorations and we have been celebrating the win!

“We have sold four division one winning tickets since the new owners took over, so we hope this generates more wins for our customers.”
