A Richlands shopper has likely been swept into a whirlwind of emotions this week after discovering their division one win of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years in a recent Set for Life draw.
The Richards player held the only division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 2994, drawn Tuesday 17 October 2023.
They take home a total division one prize of $4.8 million, paid in monthly instalments of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.
However, how the winner plans to enjoy their prize will forever remain a mystery as they’ve chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Cignall Richlands, Shop T12 Richlands Plaza, 511 Archerfield Road, Richlands.
The Cignall Richlands team was overjoyed to have sold a division one winning entry in Set for Life and wish them all the best with their prize.
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was sure the region’s latest division one winner was grinning from ear to ear following their delightful discovery this week.
“While we may never know how they plan to enjoy their prize for the next two decades, we have no doubt they’re unable to stop daydreaming after discovering their annuity win,” she said.
“Other Set for Life division one winners tell us they use their newfound fortune to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or complete an overseas odyssey.
“However, our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling for a long time to come.”
The winning numbers in Set for Life draw 2945 on Tuesday 17 October 2023 were 40, 2, 20, 11, 4, 38, 36, while the supplementary numbers were 21 and 10.
Across Australia, there were one division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 2994 – one in Queensland.
This marks the 122th Set for Life division one winner nationally since the game began and the 15th Set for Life division one winner so far this calendar year.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 328 so far in 2023, including 86 won by Golden Casket customers.
In FY23, there were 17 Set for Life division one winners across Australia who will receive $81.60 million during the next 20 years.
By the end of FY23, more than $101.6 million in monthly payments of $20,000 had been paid to the 118 Set for Life division one winners across Australia.
