A Shoal Bay resident or visitor is sitting on a $1 million bounty after winning division one in a recent Weekday Windfall draw – they just might not know it yet.

The elusive New South Wales player held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4602 on Monday 22 September 2025 and scored $1 million.

Although the division one winning entry is registered to The Lott Members Club, officials from The Lott were unable to reach the winner on the details provided to deliver the life-changing news.

The winning entry was purchased from Shoal Bay Newsagency, Shops 32-33 Bay Village, 47-51 Shoal Bay Road, Shoal Bay.

Shoal Bay Newsagency owner John Boltjes said he was thrilled to sell a division one winning entry in Weekday Windfall and hoped the  winner came forward soon.

“I initially couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw we had a division one winner, but then I had a big smile on my face and couldn’t wait to share the news with everyone,” he said.

“We’ve decorated the store and let all our customers know about the win to share in the excitement.

“This is my first division one win since taking over the business in December 2024, but the newsagency itself has had several in its 50 years of operating.

“I’d like to congratulate the winner. We hope you come forward soon and can put the money to good use.”

The Lott spokesperson Khat McIntyre said she was eagerly waiting to speak with the mystery division one winner despite repeated attempts to phone the winner going unanswered.

“I was ready to reveal the life-enhancing news to the recent Weekday Windfall division one winner last week, but sadly whenever I called the number provided, the number rang out,” she said.

“You may think it’s not possible you’re the division one winner we’re searching for, but if you purchased an entry into a recent Weekday Windfall draw from Shoal Bay Newsagency that you haven’t checked yet, you’re in with a chance!

“We’re urging all players to check their entries as soon as possible. If you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket, contact the Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
