A Ringwood woman ditched her morning coffee for celebratory champagne after this morning discovering her $1.5 million TattsLotto win from the weekend’s draw.
The Melburnian held one of the four division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4239, drawn Saturday 5 March 2022. Each entry takes home $1,533,628.84.
When an official from The Lott confirmed the life-changing news with the winner this morning, she suddenly found herself lost for words.
“Oh my god! Holy s***! Are you serious?” she eventually managed.
“Holy crap! What do I even say or do!? I’m shaking like a leaf!
“I had no idea I’d won division one. I just checked my ticket this morning, and bam, I’m a millionaire!
“I’m blown away. This is crazy! I can’t stop shaking. I need to sit down.
“I’m retired, so this will be amazing for my retirement. I’ll be able to enjoy myself.
“I’ll share the rest with my family. But I haven’t got a clue about the specifics. It’s very overwhelming.
“Can you hear my neighbours in the background? They’re so excited too! I was just having coffee with them.
“I might take my neighbours out to a fancy lunch in the city with champagne to celebrate.
“I need to get over this shock! I can’t believe I’ve won one point five million dollars. This is a dream come true.”
The winning woman purchased her 12-game QuickPick entry at Nextra Eastland Newsagency, 1015 Eastland Shopping Centre, 171 Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood.
Nextra Eastland Newsagency team member Chelsea Mill said the win was fantastic for the winner, the community and the outlet.
“We’re so excited to have another big win,” Chelsea said.
“The division one win went to a regular customer who has been shopping with us for years and years, so I can’t tell you how happy we are for them. It’s just amazing!
“We’d love to send our congratulations to the winner. We honestly couldn’t be happier for her and hope it makes a positive difference to her life.
“It’s so exciting when we sell a division one winning ticket, and we can’t wait to do it again.”
