A Rockhampton man in his 70s had a feeling something extraordinary was coming his way and his intuition proved right when he unwrapped a birthday surprise of $2 million in a recent Weekday Windfall draw.
The chirpy Queenslander held one of the two division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4631, drawn Friday 28 November 2025. Thanks to the Weekday Windfall’s Black Friday Double Your Win promotion, all prizes were doubled, boosting his $1 million win into a $2 million prize.
When contacted by an official from The Lott, the winner was overwhelmed with excitement.
“Mate, I can’t believe this! I’m shaking now,” he laughed.
“I suspected I had won, but I was waiting for this call. It’s fantastic.
“What a great present. It was only recently my birthday, and all year I had this feeling something special was going to happen. The stars aligned!
“You don’t know how much I appreciate this. It’s life-changing, and I won’t be taking it for granted.
“I’m in my 70s, and I’ve rented my whole life. Now I can buy a house, and it’ll just help with life so much.
“I just choose new numbers each week. I don’t stick to the same set, but I’ve been playing for decades.
“I’m all fuzzy in the brain now. The fact that it was Black Friday and the prize was doubled is crazy! I thought it might’ve just been for the lower divisions, but you’re telling me I scored $2 million.
“I’m over the moon. It’s come at such a good time. Thank you so much. You’ve made my day, mate!”
