A Salisbury man who has never set foot outside of Australia is looking forward to getting his passport and booking an overseas odyssey after scratching his way to a $150,000 Instant Scratch-Its win.

The north Adelaide resident’s winning $10 Jumbo Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at OTR Salisbury Park Terrace, 105 - 109 Park Terrace, Salisbury.

“I still can’t wrap my head around it!” the winning man shared when speaking with an official from The Lott.

“This experience was really unexpected. It’s honestly been insane!

“I picked up four Instant Scratch-Its tickets on my way home on Christmas Day. It had been a long day, and I thought it would be a fun way to send off the year.

“When we got home my wife and kids went to sleep, but I stayed up and scratched the tickets.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I scratched the ticket.

“I immediately woke up my wife and got her to look over the ticket.

“She didn’t believe me at first. She was a bit annoyed I’d woken her up.

“She was very happy once she realised we’d won $150,000!

“We’ve never seen that type of money so it’s unreal.

“I’ve never left Australia, and I’ve always dreamed of going and seeing things.

“I’d love to take my wife to the United States, and we could go explore a few iconic locations.

“It’s a really nice chunk of money for us to do a few different things.”

In FY24, there were 143 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across The Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $12.12 million in top prizes.
