A Seaford shopper has picked up more than the paper, groceries and gifts when they dashed to the shops, scoring one of the top prizes of $10,000 on a $1 Cash Dash ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at Belvedere Lotto & Homewares, Shop 5, Belvedere Shopping Centre, Seaford.
However, we will never know how the winner plans to enjoy their windfall as they have charged ahead to enjoy their prize anonymously and rushed to celebrate in private.
Belvedere Lotto & Homewares owner Laz Velaetis revealed he wasn’t racing anywhere, preparing to stay in-store and celebrate with his customers.
“We are absolutely thrilled one of our customers has scored a $10,000 prize!” he exclaimed.
“It’s the first Instant Scratch-Its top prize the outlet has ever sold and the first major prize we’ve sold since taking ownership seven years ago.
“We’ve been telling our customers we are a lucky shop for years, as the previous owners had 18 major prize wins during their time.
“I’m so happy we’ll be able to share this exciting news with our customers to prove we are a lucky shop!
“Congratulations to the winner. We wish them all the best with their prize!”
Instant Scratch-Its spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said she was sure the Victorian player was already bounding about in celebration of their win.
