It’s been more than one year since an Orange resident or visitor won $100,000 in a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw, but the mystery winner has yet to come forward and claim their prize.

The mystery winner held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10874, drawn Friday 13 September 2024 and looks forward to $100,000.

If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their good fortune.

Instead, officials from The Lott are eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.

In New South Wales, lottery prizes may be claimed up to six years from the draw date. After this time has passed, prizes are not payable.

The 1st Prize winning entry was purchased at Greengate Newsagency Orange West CPA, 6 Prince Street, Orange.

The Lott spokesperson Eliza Wregg said the mystery winner was likely oblivious to the fact they’d taken home $100,000 over a year ago and urged players to check their tickets.

“It’s highly likely our mystery winner has been going about the past year as normal, with no idea they’ve been sitting on a winning ticket worth $100,000,” she said.

“While we’ve been unable to confirm the major prize win with the winner, we’re sure that when they check their ticket and discover their win, they’ll be jumping for joy.

“We’re encouraging anybody who purchased a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket from Greengate Newsagency Orange West CPA to check their ticket as soon as possible because they could be the mystery winner we’re searching for!

“We know other big winners have stashed their winning tickets in all sorts of places – from the fridge door to the car console – so it’s worth searching all nooks and crannies for unchecked tickets.

“This is a great reminder to all lottery players to register your ticket to The Lott Members Club because if you scored a major prize, we could call you immediately after the draw with the exhilarating news.

“Make sure you check your tickets, and if you do discover that you’re holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $12.88 million for draw 1719, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $500,000 for draw 11040.

In FY25, 182 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot Prize winning entries across Australia won more than $20.5 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
