The search is over for Mackay’s mystery division one winner after a local man finally checked his Saturday Gold Lotto ticket and uncovered his life-enhancing $900,000 win.
The North Queenslander held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4591, drawn Saturday 19 July 2025. He takes home a neat $913,137.13.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their good fortune.
Instead, officials from The Lott had to wait for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
“Woo-hoo! Thank you very much” he exclaimed.
“I went and checked the ticket at the newsagency, and I couldn’t believe it.
“I play every week, and I never expect to win anything!
“Celebrations are definitely a given!”
Despite close to one million dollars heading his way, the long-time player was too stunned to make any concrete plans.
“I honestly have no idea. I’ll have to think about it,” he shared.
“I’m too stunned right now, but I’m sure it will go to good use.”
His winning entry was purchased at Newsextra Village, Shop 6, 23 Oak Street, Andergrove.
Newsextra Village owner Susan Vella said she was over the moon to have sold her first division one winning entry.
“It’s definitely a great start to the week! I was going through my emails on Monday and received a shock when I read that we sold a division one winning entry,” she said.
“I had to re-read the email a couple of times to make sure I was reading it correctly.
“This is a very exciting milestone for us, as this is the first division one winning entry we’ve ever sold. We will be decorating the store with balloons and streamers.
“Congratulations to the mystery winner and we’re so glad to hear you have checked your ticket and come forward!”
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4591 on 19 July 2025 were 7, 42, 36, 17, 15 and 22, while the supplementary numbers were 34 and 9.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4591 – four in Victoria, and one each in South Australia, Queensland and Tasmania.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 241 so far in 2025, including 99 won by Golden Casket customers.
In 2024, Saturday Gold Lotto created 149 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 316 division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $400.2 million.
