After nearly two months, a Nowra man’s intuition led him to finally check some Lucky Lotteries tickets he’d nearly forgotten about – only to discover he was the mystery winner who’d pocketed $100,000.

The South Coast region resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11003, drawn Monday 16 June 2025. He looks forward to a neat $100,000.

If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered his ticket to a player card or online account, he would have already been alerted to his good fortune.

When an official from The Lott finally confirmed the winning news, the stunned man confessed he’d been completely oblivious to the fact he’d been holding a winning ticket worth $100,000 for months.

“I’ve had no idea this entire time!” the winning man gasped.

“Wow. I don’t even know what to say.

“I’m used to winning a couple bucks here and there, so I never thought I could’ve won the big one.

“My tickets have been piling up and most of them were very overdue to be checked. Something the other day reminded me that I needed to go and check them.

“Unreal!”

With $100,00 heading his way, the winning man had one thing on his mind – escaping the winter blues for a sun-drenched holiday.

“We’re in a pretty lucky position now. I’d love to escape this cool weather for somewhere tropical right now,” he said.

“Might have to organise a celebratory dinner too.”

His winning entry was purchased from Nowra Mall Paper Shop, Shop 19, Nowra Mall, 52 Kinghorne Street, Nowra.

Nowra Mall Paper Shop owner Claude shared he was thrilled to hear the mystery winner had finally checked their winning ticket and discovered their $100,00 prize.

“We’re happy to hear our mystery winner has come forward at last,” he said.

“It’s always exciting to sell a winning ticket that you know will change someone’s life.

“We’ve certainly experienced a lot of luck with our Lucky Lotteries ticket in the past. In fact, this latest win marks our 15th 1st Prize win ever.

Congratulations to our winner! We’re very happy to hear you’ve finally checked your ticket.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $10.96 million for draw 1711, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $1.28 million for draw 11034.

In 2024, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $52.2 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
