The search has begun for a mystery Tasmanian player who scored more than $834,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw but has yet to come forward to claim their prize.

The Tasmanian held one of the seven division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4175, drawn Saturday 24 July 2021. Each division one winning entry takes home an $834,643.56 prize.

However, the winning entry is unregistered, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news. Instead, they’re waiting for the ticketholder to come forward to claim their prize.

In Tasmania, division one winners have six months to claim their prize directly from Tatts. After this time, the prize can be claimed from the State Government.

The winning entry was purchased at Kings Meadows News & Lotto, 116 Hobart Road, Kings Meadows.

Kings Meadows News & Lotto owner Viv Dolbey said she was thrilled to have another division one win land in her store.

We were so excited when we heard! My husband has had a premonition the past few weeks that we’d sell a division one winning entry and has been eagerly checking the emails the last few Sunday mornings,” she said.

“When we found out, we messaged all of our staff and they were very excited. I’m sure they will be sharing the news about the win and hopefully we can unite the winner with their prize.

“Everyone is always very excited and happy for us. I am sure they are all hoping they are next.

“Whoever our winner is, we hope they come forward soon. We’d love to send them our congratulations and we wish them lots of fun and happiness with their winnings.”

The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was more eager than ever to unite the player with their prize.

“It’s likely this winner has been going about their week as normal with no idea they’ve won more than $830,000 in the weekend’s draw!” she said.

“We’re urging all players who purchased a TattsLotto ticket from Kings Meadows News & Lotto to check their tickets today.

“Imagine how exciting it would be to realise you’ve won the lottery! Your plans for the rest of the week, month and year would certainly change with those extra digits in your bank account!

“Make sure you check your ticket, which could be in your wallet, handbag, fridge door or car glovebox, because the winner could be you and you could be planning what to do with your prize too!

“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

Players are reminded of the importance of registering their tickets to a player card or online account so all of their prizes are secure and they can be contacted directly with the good news of a big win.
