A Scone couple have been left in a state of bewilderment after they checked a Lucky Lotteries entry and discovered they’d unwittingly won $200,000 three weeks ago.
The Hunter Valley residents won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1596, drawn Wednesday 19 October 2022.
“I won’t be able to concentrate at work later on,” the winning woman exclaimed when her incredible win was confirmed this morning by an official from The Lott.
“This is going to change our lives.
“Are you serious? I can’t believe it. Our mortgage is going to be paid off!
“We’ll be debt free, and that is just the most amazing feeling in the world.
“I told my husband that I’d scanned this old ticket and been told it was something major.
“But I didn’t expect it to be this large!
“I’m honestly lost for words. I feel like I’m living in a fairy tale.
“It’s been a tough couple of years, and we’ve worked so hard. This is the cherry on top.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
The winning entry of one random number was purchased from Scone Newsagency, 169 Kelly Street, Scone.
The Scone Newsagency team said they were stoked their mystery winner had finally been found and wished the winning couple all the best for the future.The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.24 million for draw 1598, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $1.28 million for draw 10732.
In FY22, 169 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million. Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
