A Doncaster mum picked up more than a few last-minute Christmas gifts this morning when she checked her TattLotto ticket and discovered she had won more than $1 million in the weekend’s draw.

The Melbourne woman held one of the four division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 3905, drawn Saturday 22 December 2018.

Speaking to a Tatts official this morning to claim her prize, the winner joked the million-dollar prize was “definitely one of my top three Christmas gifts ever”.

“I’m shaking like a leaf!” she exclaimed.

“Thank you so much. I’m just in shock.

“I came in to buy a TattsLotto ticket as a present for my brother and I thought I should check mine while I was at it.

“When they said I was a division one winner I thought they were joking.

“I’ve been running around dropping off presents to friends and family this morning so this is just a massive surprise.

“You always dream about winning division one and what you would do, but this is something else.”

Despite the shock revelation, the happy winner said she already had some plans for her TattsLotto windfall.

“We’ve always dreamed of going overseas in business class,” she shared.

“It would be so nice to fly on more comfy seats and head to Europe as a family.  So that’s what we’ll be doing in 2019!”

The happy winner purchased her winning entry at West Doncaster News & Lotto, 89 High Street, Doncaster.

Owner of West Doncaster News & Lotto Dhanesh Amarsi said he was extremely happy for his division one winning customer.

“My first thought was that we were so happy for one of our wonderful customers!” he exclaimed.

“When we first bought the outlet just under three years ago we had many customers tell us we were a lucky shop and now this confirms we are a lucky shop!

“We have been celebrating in store all morning with balloons, signs and streamers. We’ve been telling all of our customers we sold a division one winning entry.

“We have such a close-knit community of customers so they will be thrilled to hear what a difference this win has made to one of our customer's lives.

“We’ve sold about four division one winning entries in the past, the last in 2009 so it’s great to have sold another one.

“Congratulations to our winner! We are so happy for them! We also want to thank all of our customers who support us at our lucky outlet!”
