A Main Beach father who scored $20,000 a month for the next 20 years in last night’s Set for Life draw has shared he can’t wait to share the love by spoiling his son.
The Gold Coast resident won the only division one prize nationally in Set for Life draw 3399, drawn Monday 25 November 2024. He can look forward to a $4.8 million prize, paid in monthly instalments of $20,000 over 20 years.
An official from The Lott reached the doting dad just moments before he checked his ticket, leaving him in complete awe.
“Is that really true?” he said.
“Wow. I’ve really won. I’ve won the big one. I’ve won $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.
“It’s just me and my son. I’m going to spoil him for sure.
“I’m a single father so it will help more than you could ever imagine.
“I was actually just on the way to the newsagency now to check my ticket.
“I’m very happy. We’ll be able to live nicely.
“I’ve been playing five or six years now. I like to mix it up with my numbers, but this ticket got me a couple of prizes, so I kept replaying it.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do for the rest of the day. I’m just going to try and process this, I think.
“Thank you so much. This is the best news.”
The gleeful man’s winning 50-game QuickPick entry was purchased from newsXpress Surfers Paradise, Shop 43, Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre, 3240 Surfers Paradise Boulevard, Surfers Paradise.
The newsXpress Surfers Paradise team said they couldn’t be happier for their winner and wished him all the best with his prize.
The winning numbers in Set for Life draw 3399 on Monday 25 November 2024 were 19, 32, 18, 24, 31, 15 and 29, while the supplementary numbers were 30 and 41.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 3399 – one in Queensland.
This marks the 144th Set for Life division one winner nationally since the game began and the 19th Set for Life division one winner so far this calendar year.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 400 so far in FY24, including 73 won by Golden Casket customers.
In FY24, there were 12 Set for Life division one winners across Australia who will receive $57.6 million during the next 20 years.
By 30 June 2024, more than $131.48 million in monthly payments of $20,000 had been paid to the 130 Set for Life division one winners across Australia.
