A Singleton shopper has had their life turned upside down in the best possible way after discovering they scored $20,000 a month for the next 20 years in Set for Life.
The New South Wales player held the only division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 2720 on Monday, 16 January 2023.
They take home the division one prize of $4.8 million, paid in instalments of $20,000 a month for 20 years.
However, how they plan to spend their windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The division one winning entry was purchased at Singleton Mall Newsagency, Shop 23B Mall Shopping Centre, 1 Gowrie Street, Singleton.
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was sure the winner was over the moon after their life-changing windfall.
“While we don’t know how they’ll celebrate their extraordinary prize, there’s no doubt their head was spinning when they realised, they’d receive $20,000 a month for the next 20 years,” she said.
“Other division one winners regularly tell us they use their prizes to buy their dream home, help their nearest and dearest, and enjoy a long-overdue holiday.
“However our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy their winning feeling as long as they can!”
The winning numbers in Set for Life draw 2720 on Monday 16 January 2023 were 23, 32, 16, 22, 19, 17 and 33, while the supplementary numbers were 26 and 37.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 2720 – one in New South Wales.
This marks the 109th Set for Life division one winner nationally since the game began and the second Set for Life division one winner so far this calendar year.
