A Bohle Plains woman needed an extra shot of coffee this morning after a stunned, sleepless night following her $200,000 Instant Scratch-Its revelation.
The Townsville resident’s winning $15 Crosswords Book ticket was purchased at Golf Links Mini Mart, Shop 1, 112 Golf Links Drive, Kirwan.
When an official from The Lott confirmed her prize, the winning woman shared she was still in disbelief but was looking forward to using her newfound treasure to make her dream of owning a house come true.
“I still don’t believe it,” she cried.
“I wasn’t expecting to win anything!
“I was grabbing some bread the other day when I purchased the ticket on a whim.
“I haven’t been able to sleep since I uncovered the top prize win. I’ve been up and down like a yo-yo.
“I just can’t wrap my head around it! I got my son to check the ticket to make sure my eyes weren’t tricking me.
“One of the first things I’ll be doing with the money is helping my dad who needs a new car.
“More than likely the rest will go towards a house deposit.
“I can’t believe I’m saying that out loud! I didn’t think we’d be in the position to get a house for at least another couple of years.”
Golf Links Mini Mart owner Upen Singh shared that hearing the news that his outlet had sold a top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket made his day.
