A Craigieburn woman has confessed she had  a sleepless night after discovering her entry had won division one in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw.

The sleep-deprived winner held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3857 on Saturday 7 July 2018. Each took home a division one prize of $503,668.42.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the thrilled winner also won division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering her total prize to $515,752.72.

“I’ve been waiting for your call all morning! I’m very excited!” the happy winner exclaimed with a laugh when speaking to a Tatts official today.

“We were just at home and my husband, who never wants to check my tickets mind you, said to me ‘can I see your TattsLotto ticket? I just have a feeling’.

“So he checked it on the app and he nearly dropped to the floor when he saw it.

“I actually thought he was joking, so I looked at the app and I saw our numbers and I thought ‘Oh my god, this is not for real, this can’t be happening’.

“We were jumping up and down and crying and we didn’t get to sleep until about 3 or 4 am. We just kept crying with happiness.

“It’s really good news for us, we definitely needed it.”

The thrilled winner revealed she knew exactly how she planned to spend her TattsLotto windfall, including a visit to her cherished family who live overseas.

“Probably some renovations to the house and we will definitely pay off our loan. We’ll be debt free pretty much,” the happy woman said.

“We will also take the kids on a good long holiday. We’ve got relatives in Europe so it would be great to go over and see them! It will just be great.

“We’ve definitely thought about how we would spend it – we’ve dreamt about this day.”

When asked how she chose the marked numbers on her System 8 entry, the woman revealed there was a romantic story behind them.

“Me and my husband had these entries from when we were 18 years old but we broke up for a little while, but he kept playing those numbers,” she explained.

“We got together again and we just kept playing them and 25 years later, those numbers have come up.

“They are very special numbers – they are birthdays, anniversaries and house numbers. They are very lucky numbers for us now.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her System 8 marked entry at Craigieburn Lotto, Shop 27, 32-38 Craigieburn Road, Craigieburn.
