Retirement is suddenly within reach for a South Penrith man after taking home division one in last night’s Monday Lotto draw.
The New South Wales player held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4134, drawn Monday 29 November 2021, and took home $1 million.
Confirming his win with an official from The Lott this afternoon, the Sydneysider admitted he was still coming to terms with the news.
“Thank you very much,” he managed eventually.
“That news has brought a tear to my eye.
“I checked the ticket just before while I was having a cup of tea.
“I’ve been playing the same numbers for 30 or 40 years. I can’t remember why I picked the numbers I did, but they are certainly special now.”
When asked how he thought he might enjoy his million-dollar win, the man didn’t hesitate before revealing his plans.
“My wife and I will both retire early!” he declared.
“It’s going to be a very different Christmas.
“I’m still trying to absorb the news. It’s a life-changer.”
His winning marked System 8 entry was purchased at Southlands Newsagency, Shop 8, Southlands Shopping Centre, 2 Birmingham Road, Penrith South.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4134 on Monday 29 November 2021 were 43, 22, 6, 2, 36, and 14, while the supplementary numbers were 12 and 42.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4134 – the entry from New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 190 so far this financial year, including 67 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
