A Logan couple are welcoming retirement with open arms after discovering their Weekday Windfall ticket, purchased on a whim, scored them $1 million.

The Queensland residents held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4549, drawn Wednesday 21 May 2025 and can look forward to a clean $1 million.

As the ticket wasn’t registered to The Lott Members Club, officials from The Lott had to wait for the mystery winner to check their ticket and come forward.

“I’m fantastic this morning!” the winning husband laughed while speaking to an official from The Lott.

“I didn’t believe it at first. I had to check it four times.

“My wife and I bought it on a whim. We go through periods playing, but this time it was very random.

“We’re absolutely gobsmacked.

“We’ve been talking about semi-retiring, but I think this is the kick to fully retire!

“We’ll certainly do some holidays too.

“Thank you so much. It couldn’t have come at a better time.”

The winning entry was purchased at Chatswood Hills News & Casket Agency, Chatswood Hills Shopping Centre, Magellan Road, Springwood.
