A Springwood man is thrilled to finally get extensive home renovations underway after bagging $100,000 in this morning’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The Blue Mountains local held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10857, drawn Monday 24 June 2024.

The New South Welshman confessed he doesn’t usually play Lucky Lotteries and is thanking his intuition for prompting him to ‘give the game a go’.

“That’s excellent. Thank you!” he cheered.

“I think it’s my second or third time playing Lucky Lotteries, so as you can imagine, this is a big surprise.

“I’ve never won something like this before, it’s massive.

“I’m feeling pretty good now.

When asked how he planned to use his unexpected windfall, the gleeful man didn’t hesitate to share his home was in dire need of transformation from floor to ceiling.

“This is going straight into home renovations,” he shared.

“It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for over 10 years and there’s a lot to be done.

“The whole house needs a complete transformation.

“Thank you for your wonderful phone call!”

The man’s winning entry of 10 random numbers was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.24 million for draw 1683, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now over $2.3 million for draw 10858.

In 2023, 117 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $20.6 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In 2023, more than 122.7 million wins took home more than $3.76 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Weekday Windfall, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno (SA), Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.

Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.6 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
