A St Helens woman is thanking a spur-of-the-moment decision to change her numbers for scoring her a division one prize worth over $563,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The thrilled winner held one of the 10 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4055, drawn Saturday 30 May 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $502,546.00.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the happy winner’s System 8 QuickPick entry also scored her division two 6 times, division three 6 times and division four 15 times, bolstering her total prize to $563,780.80.

Speaking to an official from the Lott this morning, the overjoyed winner revealed she had been completely oblivious to her win because she had her mobile data turned off.

“Thank you so much! I can’t believe it!” she exclaimed.

“I checked my emails on Sunday and hadn’t received anything to let me know I had won so I thought ‘oh well, I haven’t won anything’.

“I then turned off my mobile data and my phone was on silent while I was at work yesterday, so I completely missed your emails and calls.

“When I got home, I thought I’d check my emails and saw one prompting me to check my tickets.

“I logged onto the app and clicked on my ticket and saw how much I had won! I couldn’t believe it!

“I’ve never seen that much money before! I couldn’t believe the amount of numbers that came up on the ticket.

“I was so excited! Definitely excited! I thought to myself ‘oh god don’t have a heart attack’.

“I’m still in a bit of shock from it really. I can’t believe it! I can’t think straight!

“I’ll be celebrating with a glass of wine tonight!”

The regular player revealed she nearly didn’t play the ticket that scored her the division one prize.

“I only play every now and then and I hadn’t played that often lately,” she explained.

“I thought I’d put on a ticket this week and I was going to use my own numbers that I play every time.

“As I was about to put it on, I thought ‘I haven’t had much luck with those lately’ so I decided to go for a QuickPick at the last minute instead.

“I’m glad I did!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her division one prize, the thrilled winner revealed it had come at the perfect time for her.

“I’ve been looking to buy some property so it will definitely go a long way towards that!” she declared.

“I would love to go on a big holiday but can’t at the moment, so I’ll probably save some money for that down the track.

“It’s come at a great time of life for me. It will really help set me up for the future.

“I’ll keep working and when the right property comes along I’ll buy it.”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries. In 2019, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday TattsLotto created 203 millionaires across Australia.
