A woman from South Melbourne is planning on heading straight to the travel agent to plan a family holiday after becoming over $440,000 richer from winning division one in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw.
The thrilled winner holds one of the nine division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 3865 on Saturday 4 August 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $444,985.88.
The win kicks off a record-breaking week in Australian lottery with two jackpots worth a collective $150 million up for grabs in the coming days. Tomorrow’s Oz Lotto has a massive $70 million up for grabs, while Thursday’s Powerball is offering a mind-blowing $80 million.
When speaking with a Tatts official this afternoon to claim her prize, the winner explained how the celebrations kicked off.
“I had to check it about six times to make sure it was real!” the woman exclaimed.
“It’s a big surprise! I was sitting at the table reading Sunday’s paper. I thought ‘this can’t be right’.
“Then I thought ‘Oh s**t, I’ve got six numbers straight!’
“I walked away and thought about it and then came back and checked again. I still didn’t believe it so I went to the outlet to check it.
“When I got it there, it had a sign saying ‘first division sold here’. I asked him to check it for me and when he checked it he said ‘Yes! it’s you it’s you!’.
“We celebrated with hugs and kisses and it was really really good. They were all screaming ‘congratulations congratulations!’ and I started howling.
“Another woman was there buying an entry into Tuesday’s draw and so she asked if she could rub me for good luck!
“We went out for a nice lunch and had a few drinks to celebrate!”
When asked how she planned to spend her TattsLotto windfall the overjoyed winner revealed her family was at the top of her Lotto List.
“We are going to have a family getaway! We haven’t decided yet but we can let the news sink in first!”
The winning entry was purchased at Market Lotto & News, Stall 121-122 South Melbourne Market, South Melbourne.
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and TattsLotto have created 113 millionaires across Australia.
The six winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3865 on Saturday 4 August 2018 were 25, 38, 24, 35, 12 and 14. The supplementary numbers were 36 and 39.
Across Australia there were nine division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 3865 – five from Victoria, two from Queensland, and one each from New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 240 so far this calendar year, including 101 won by Tatts customers.
