A woman from Sunshine North has confessed she hasn’t slept a wink since last night’s shock revelation she won division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The woman’s entry was one of the nine division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3895, drawn on Saturday 17 November 2018. Each entry took home a division one prize of $456,752.50.
Speaking to a Tatts official this morning, the winner revealed she was a regular TattsLotto player and had been using the same numbers since 1975.
Decades after creating her winning combination, she couldn’t quite remember exactly why she originally chose the random numbers.
The winner shared her husband broke the news to her last night when he checked the ticket, and she confessed she didn’t sleep a wink after hearing the life-changing revelation.
“I’m still in shock,” she screamed with laughter.
“I said to my husband ‘don’t ever tell me stuff like that when I’m about to go to sleep’.”
While she said her husband had already spent the winnings in his mind, the ecstatic Sunshine North resident explained she had spent all night planning how she’d be using her prize.
“I think we’ll buy a house,” she said.
“What a lovely Christmas present!”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Sunny Lotto, 69 McIntyre Road, Sunshine North.
Sunny Lotto team member Helen Nelson said the outlet was over the moon.
“It’s really exciting. This is the second time we’ve sold a division one winning ticket in store,” she exclaimed.
“In 2015, we sold a syndicate that won a life-changing prize.”
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and TattsLotto have created 160 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3895 on Saturday 17 November 2018 were 26, 19, 31, 30, 6 and 18, while the supplementary numbers were 25 and 16.
Across Australia, there were nine division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 3895.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 150 so far this financial year, including 57 won by Tatts customers.
In the 12 months to 30 June 2018, there were 290 division one winning TattsLotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $302.7 million.
