A Sydney mother and daughter duo are feeling “ecstatic, nervous, excited and everything in between” after discovering they’re sharing a division one prize of more than $2 million.

The Bass Hill pair held one of the two division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 3935, drawn Saturday 6 April 2019. Each entry won a division one prize of $2,099,625.55.

Confirming their life-changing prize with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon, the winners were bursting with joy.

“We’re trembling, we’re shaking, we can’t believe it!” the daughter cried.

“Wow! Thank you so much.

“My mum and I bought the ticket together!

“On Sunday morning mum was checking the results in the paper with the ticket and then I came over to pick her up and go out for lunch.

“She said to me ‘I’ve got something to tell you. I think we had all six numbers in last night’s lotto’.

“Then I scanned the ticket on the app and it told us we had a win.

“I kept checking the numbers over and over. I couldn’t believe it!

“Yesterday I went down to the newsagency just to make sure and that’s when I finally believed the news!”

The beloved family members revealed a long lasting legacy had delivered them their two million-dollar windfall.

“Mum and I have been buying lottery tickets together for decades,” the daughter explained.

“We’ve probably been playing for 50 years and we always buy different types of entries in different games.

“It’s just great. We are absolutely thrilled!

“It’s unbelievable, it’s overwhelming, we’re ecstatic, nervous, excited and everything in between!”

Although the mother is long retired, the daughter revealed writing a resignation letter was exactly how she’d be celebrating.

“I won’t be going back to work ever again, that’s for sure!” she laughed.

“We will both be spoiling our children and grandchildren.

“I will renovate my unit and we will definitely take a holiday

“I’d love to go to Hawaii and take the grandchildren to Disneyland.

“I really can’t describe how we’re feeling! We’re shaking! We’re over the moon!”

The winners, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased their winning entry at Bass Hill Plaza News, Shop 27, Bass Hill Plaza, 753 Hume Highway, Bass Hill.

Bass Hill Plaza News manager Tony Tran said he wished the winners all the very best.

“I feel so excited for our lucky customers!” he exclaimed.

“We hope they enjoy every moment of their prize with their family, travel and make all their dreams come true!”

“It’s been almost four years since we last sold a division one winning entry so this is long overdue!”
