A inner-Sydney tradesman has been forced to put down the tools and answer a life-enhancing phone call revealing he snagged $100,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales resident won the 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10568, drawn Wednesday 11 May 2022.
Straight after the draw an official from The Lott dialled the hard-working man, who was too preoccupied with work and completely oblivious to the winning news.
“Wow! Really?” he questioned.
“I’m dumbfounded - I had no idea.
“I’m just at work right now and I’ve had to go undercover to answer this phone call.
“I haven’t had a moment to check the entry because I’ve been so busy at work, but this is a wonderful surprise.
“I’ll tell my wife for sure, maybe a few other people.
“This has turned my day around. It will be hard to concentrate on work!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his $100,000 win, he shared he couldn’t wait to pay off some bills.
“I’ll definitely put it towards paying off the house mortgage. It will give us a great boost,” he exclaimed.
“We might even celebrate the win on the weekend as a family. It’s my son’s birthday, so we will go all out!”
His winning entry of 10 random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $9.89 million for draw 1572, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $12.74 million for draw 10569.
In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May.
