A Northgate woman has shared she’d be calling her biggest fan, her mum, to celebrate and cry together after this morning receiving the life-changing news that she’d won $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries draw.
The Brisbane woman held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1563, drawn Thursday 9 March 2022.
When an official from The Lott broke the news to her this morning, the shocked winner declared it was a dream come true.
“Oh, my goodness! This is so beautiful. You’ve made my Thursday morning even more beautiful!” she said.
“I’ve always thought that if I don’t win, it isn’t meant to be, but I did wonder when I bought this ticket, ‘will it ever happen?’.
“I’m going to call my Mum straight away; she’s always been my greatest supporter and I’m sure she’s going to have a little cry with me.
“I feel like I’m in a dream.”
With $200,000 on the way, the elated woman said she’d look to the future and possibly a home deposit, but not before enjoying the present with some takeaway Thai.
“I’m going to get my partner and myself some Thai takeaway tonight; a bit of pad thai, some satay chicken, maybe some spring rolls,” she said.
“More seriously though, we’ve been talking about buying our first home and thinking about the future and retirement, so we’ll definitely sit down and think about our future.
“Thank you so much, this is completely lifechanging.”
