An Ararat man is looking forward to relaxing into his retirement after scoring $100,000 in the recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The Victorian won the guaranteed 1st prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10597 drawn on Wednesday 22 June 2022.
Following the draw, an official from The Lott contacted the winning man to share the thrilling news.
“I can’t believe this!” he exclaimed.
“I just started playing Lucky Lotteries about five weeks ago and now I’ve won the 1st Prize!
“I can’t wait to share the winning news with my family.
“I don’t really have any plans for the win, but I’m retired so it’s going to take a bit of the pressure off.
“It’s incredible!”
The winning entry of two random numbers was purchased at Harris Newsagency, 150-152 Barkly Street, Ararat.
Harris Newsagency team member Karen Billet said she was “stoked” to know she had sold a 1st Prize winning ticket to one of her customers.
“Oh, how wonderful!” she cheered.
“This is fantastic. You’ve made my day!
“I’m stoked because I’m sure it was me who sold him the winning ticket to the customer!
“We’ve never sold a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot 1st Prize before. We hope this is the start of many more.
“Congratulations to our winner! Well done. We’re so happy for him and wish him the best with his prize.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $11.3 million for draw 1578, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $16.53 million for draw 10598.
In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
