Despite having just worked a night shift, there was no way a Lara man was going to sleep after checking his TattsLotto ticket and realising he and his wife had won division one in the weekend’s draw.
The happy couple held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4143 on Saturday 3 April 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $965,635.64.
Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the elated man said he was still on cloud nine after his midnight discovery.
“I found out yesterday,” the winning man explained.
“I had just finished night shift, and as I was walking to the car, I decided to check my online account with The Lott.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw I won division one!
“I called my wife straight away and told her. She was so shocked! I have always said we’d win division one, but she couldn’t believe it when it actually happened.
“I actually picked these numbers about 20 years ago! I was given a book about how to win the lottery and so that’s how I picked my numbers.
“I have been so close to winning division one in the past, and now the book has finally helped me win division one!”
When asked how they planned to enjoy their windfall, the stoked pair shared they already had a few things in mind.
“We are definitely going to pay off the mortgage,” the Victorian winner declared.
“It will allow us to do more travel as well. In the meantime, we will keep exploring Australia, but then we would love to do more international travel – particularly through Europe.”
The winning marked 12-game entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4143 on 3 April 2021 were 41, 1, 39, 31, 38 and 21, while the supplementary numbers were 6 and 43.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4143 – two from Victoria and one each from New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 329 so far this financial year, including 130 won by Tatts customers.
In 2020, TattsLotto created 122 millionaires across Australia.
