A Glen Waverley man who was suddenly catapulted into a multi-millionaire status with a thrilling $15 million Oz Lotto win has struggled to hold back tears as he processed the breathtaking news.
The Melburnian held one of the two division one winning entries in Oz Lotto draw 1594, drawn Tuesday 3 September 2024 and looks forward to $15 million.
The second division one winning entry went to a New South Wales player who also takes home a $15 million prize. They purchased their entry online via OzLotteries.com – one of The Lott’s authorised resellers.
The winning entry was unregistered, meaning officials from The Lott had to wait for the mystery ticketholder to discover their life-changing news and come forward to claim their prize.
In a surprising twist, the Victorian checked his ticket early Wednesday morning and chose to go to work to help distract himself from the overwhelming excitement of his win.
“I’m stunned,” he cried.
“Oh my, I can’t believe this has happened. I’m crying.
“I’m overwhelmed with it all. It’s so much to process.
“You’re telling me I’ve won $15 million? Holy!
“I can’t believe it. I woke up and scanned the ticket online, and then just went to work but it’s all I could think about.
“I don’t know what to do from here – maybe get a bodyguard!
“Thank you so much for this phone call.”
With $15 million about to change his whole world, the newly-minted multi-millionaire shared he would treat himself to the trip of a lifetime in Europe.
“I’ll go on a holiday… somewhere in Europe,” he revealed.
“It’s life-changing!”
His division one winning entry was purchased at Seraglio Lotto, Kiosk 3 - South Melbourne Central, 111 Cecil Street, South Melbourne.
Seraglio Lotto owner Amelia Lay shared she couldn’t believe her outlet had sold a division one winning ticket worth $15 million.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1594 on Tuesday 3 September 2024 were 43, 35, 9, 38, 32, 8 and 3, while the supplementary numbers were 33, 22 and 46.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Oz Lotto draw 1594 – one each in Victoria and New South Wales.
