A hardworking Terranora man had his workday completely turned on its head in the best way possible after receiving the news he’d scored $100,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries draw.
The northern New South Welshman held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11038, drawn Monday 8 September 2025 and can look forward to a wondrous $100,000 prize.
“I’m a little bewildered right now!” he exclaimed when speaking to an official from The Lott.
“This is such a shock and surprise. I’m still trying to understand all this.
“I missed your call. Then I saw your text and I had to call back straight away.
“It’s just such a surprise. I’m in so much shock.
“I’m at work right now. I’ve just had to sit down.”
When asked how he planned to use the prize, the winning man broke down in tears, sharing it had come at a perfect time.
“This is such an incredible opportunity. I’ve never won something like this,” he said.
“You have no idea how much this means. I’ve had a rough patch and been pretty unwell, so this will be a massive help.
“It’s fantastic, you’ve made my day. Thank you very much!”
His winning entry of one random number was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $12.4 million for draw 1717, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $1.93 million for draw 11039.
In FY25, 182 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot Prize winning entries across Australia won more than $20.5 million.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.66 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
