A Leura man couldn’t contain his delight this afternoon after discovering he was suddenly $100,000 richer from the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The Blue Mountains resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10259, drawn Tuesday 4 December 2018.
When a NSW Lotteries official phoned the unsuspecting winner to confirm the out-of-the-blue news, the happy man couldn’t help but exclaim in shock.
“Truly?! Far out! That’s tops! Geeze!” he rejoiced.
“I buy about five Lucky Lotteries tickets every week and I am always hoping for the big one.
“I had seen an email to say that I had won something, but I never expected it to be this much!
“That is just terrific! Good on ya!”
When asked how he planned to spend his Lucky Lotteries windfall the thrilled winner revealed he was still too shocked at the news to make any firm plans.
“I’ve never expected to win so I don’t know what to say!” he laughed.
“I might use it towards a holiday or something like that but I’ll just have to wait and see!”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 5-consecutive number entry at Leura Newsagency, 146-148 Leura Mall, Leura.
Manager at Leura Newsagency, James Taylor, said he was thrilled his outlet had sold another Lucky Lotteries top prize.
“That’s great news!” he exclaimed.
“We sold a $200,000 1st prize in a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw last year so it’s great to hear we’ve done it again.
“That will certainly make one of our customers feel good before Christmas!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $29.80 million for draw 1171 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.80 million for draw 10260.
