A Wauchope woman is feeling extra jolly and joyful this festive season after discovering she’d pocketed a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries prize.
The Mid North Coast resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11051, drawn Friday 12 December 2025. She looks forward to a total prize of $100,000.
When an official from The Lott called the winning woman, she was initially speechless upon discovering her win.
“How much did you say I’ve won? $100,000?!” she questioned.
“Oh my! That’s the best Christmas present ever!
“How beautiful.
“I’ve never won anything like this in my life.
“Just brilliant!”
With $100,000 set to boost her bank account just in time for the New Year, the winning woman looked forward to upgrading her car and booking a trip.
“It’s going to help with everything!” she said.
“I need a new car, and I’d love to book a holiday.
“Thank you!”
Her winning entry of one random number was purchased at Wauchope Newsagency, 28 High St, Wauchope.
Wauchope Newsagency team member Joan Shinn shared she was over the moon to hear a local had unwrapped a major lottery win heading into the festive season.
“I was so excited to discover we’d sold a major prize-winning entry!” she said.
“All of our customers are so happy to hear that our town has won a marvellous prize at this time of year.
“We’ve been blessed to have 13 major prize wins over the past ten years, and we’re so happy to add a new one to tally.
“We wish our winner a special Christmas and we hope it’s a win you can cherish for a lifetime.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $18.64 million for draw 1743, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $2.06 million for draw 11052.
In FY25, 182 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot Prize winning entries across Australia won more than $20.5 million.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
