A woman from Sydney’s Hills District who entered a charity raffle to support her daughter’s battle with breast cancer is now celebrating a win worth $300,000 with plans to share the gift with her daughter.

The $300,000 First Prize Pack from Play For Purpose Raffle 29, drawn Monday 15 December 2025, included a Toyota Prado Kakadu valued at $111,910.74 and $188,089.26 of gold bullion.

The gleeful grandmother purchased her winning ticket in support of Breast Cancer Network Australia, revealing it holds a special place in her heart.

“Oh, my goodness! Are you kidding me right now?! I'm going to have a heart attack!” she screamed.

“You know what! I bought this ticket because my daughter has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

“Aren’t I lucky? I’m an old granny so I’m not good with my phone. The only thing I know how to do is text and buy my Lotto tickets. Anyway, I saw it while buying my usual tickets and saw Breast Cancer Network Australia. I thought of my daughter and thought that’s come up for a reason.

“I can give my daughter the car! Oh, my goodness me.

“I’m in shock! I think I’ve got to have a cup of tea and let this all-sink in.

“I was just in bed watching a documentary as you called. I thought it must’ve been the wrong number. I’m glad I was lying down when you said I’d won.

“Thank you so much. It’ll make for an amazing Christmas, and my grandchildren will be spoiled.“

Breast Cancer Network Australia philanthropy manager Claire Sarson said she was over the moon to hear a supporter with a close connection to the cause won the First Prize Pack.

“We are absolutely thrilled to see one of Breast Cancer Network Australia’s supporters win this amazing prize,” she said.

“Moments like this remind us how powerful our community is. The generosity of our supporters is vital to everything we do, and every ticket purchased helps us continue our work and reach more people.

“We extend out heartfelt thanks to everyone who bought a ticket and supported BCNA – your kindness truly makes a difference and its support like this that helps ensure all Australians affected by breast cancer have access to the very best care, support and treatment.”

Other major prize winners were from across Australia, including Essendon, Werribee, Truganina and Brassall, who won second, third, fourth and fifth prize packages in support of charities including Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation, Love Your Sister, Children’s Hospital Foundation and My Room Children’s Cancer Charity.
