A Thebarton shopper is ready to ‘seas the day’ after winning one of the top prizes of $25,000 on a $2 Beach Bucks Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at Foodland Thebarton, 81 George Street, Thebarton.
But who the winner is and how they plan to use their instant windfall will forever be a mystery, as the ticketholder has chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
SA Lotteries spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said the Thebarton win coincided perfectly with the beginning of the summer holidays.
“We don’t know if our latest Instant Scratch-Its top prize winner was inspired to buy the winning Beach Bucks ticket because of the warmer weather but hope they enjoy a relaxing summer holiday with their $25,000 windfall!” she said.
“But the buck doesn’t stop there, there are still plenty of prizes across all tiers left to be won on the $2 Beach Bucks Instant Scratch-Its ticket, including another top prize of $25,000.
“Imagine how your plans for the summer holidays would change with an extra $25,000 in your bank account!”
Foodland Thebarton owner Omar Jamal said he was excited to hear his outlet had sold a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its.
“We’ve been sharing the happy news with all of our customers to let them know we’ve sold a winner!” he exclaimed.
“We hope our customers have the same luck when they purchase an entry in store.
“We sold a division one winning entry about two years ago so it’s great to hear we’ve sold another major prize.
“We wish our customer all the best and hope they enjoys the festive season with their prize!”
Last financial year, there were 158 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across the Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $11.28 million.
The latest range of Instant Scratch-Its tickets are available now at SA Lotteries outlets.
