Twenty Saturday Lotto players across New South Wales were jumping for joy after they shared a $1.8 million win in the weekend’s draw.

Their 20-person group syndicate held one of the 11 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4409, drawn Saturday 21 October 2023. Each division one winning entry scored $1,818,181.82.

In addition to scoring division one, the syndicate’s System entry also scored division three 6 times, division five 3 times, and division six 9 times, bolstering the group’s total prize to $1,822,798.37.

Each syndicate member took home $91,143.19.

However, some members of the winning New South Wales syndicate may have yet to realise their newfound fortune, prompting lottery officials to urge players to check their tickets as soon as possible.

Burwood Plaza Newsagency owner Suzie Zhou said the team was over the moon to have sold a division one winning syndicate and revealed the amazing win occurred just three weeks after they sold another division one winning entry.

“We are thrilled and full of joy! It was only three weeks ago that a different syndicate set up by us won division one as well!” she said.

“September was a fortunate month for us. The first week, we had a division two win, then the second week, another one! On the third week, we sold a division three and the last week was our division one win.

“Now this! Looks like our lucky streak is continuing. We’ve put banners and posters up all over the store.

“Our customers are as excited as we are. They love entering our syndicate entries. It’s a great option because it’s affordable and increases your chances of winning.

“Congratulations to the winning group and we wish everyone else good luck!”

The Lott spokesperson Khat McIntyre said some syndicate members held unregistered entries and might have yet to discover their winning news.

“Some of these division one winning syndicate members have already begun celebrating their good fortune knowing their bank account is about to be boosted with more than $90,000,” she said.

“While we’ll be reaching out to those winners who are registered, there are still some unregistered syndicate members who may have yet to discover their good news.

“If you purchased a share in a syndicate for the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, today’s the day to check it!

“If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call The Lott on 131 868 to start the prize claim process!”

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4409 on 21 October 2023 were 30, 29, 7, 2, 31 and 12, while the supplementary numbers were 9 and 33.

Across Australia, there were 11 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4409 – four in New South Wales, four in Queensland, two in Victoria and one in Tasmania .
