Two Sydney shoppers each pocketed a division one prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw but are yet to come forward to collect their winnings.
The two division one winning entries were among the four nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 3931, drawn Saturday 23 March 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $958,001.14.
The winning Sydney tickets were also the only New South Wales entries to score a division one prize in the weekend’s draw.
The two Sydney tickets are unregistered, which means NSW Lotteries has no way of contacting the oblivious winners to unite them with their prizes.
The two entries were purchased at Fire Station Newsagency, 179 Darlinghurst Road, Darlinghurst, and East Botany Newsagency, 27 Dalley Avenue, Pagewood.
East Botany Newsagency owner Mary Lau couldn’t contain her delight that one of her customers snared a division one win.
“We’ve been here since 2009 – a very long time – but the last time we sold a major prize was in February 2016 so we thought it was time to do it again,” she laughed.
“We hope our customer checks their ticket soon!”
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Matt Hart is urging anyone who purchased an entry in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw to check it immediately.
“The people holding these winning entries might be completely unaware that they’re each now almost a million dollars richer. Imagine how that kind of news could transform your Monday and the rest of your life!” he said.
“You may not think it’s possible that you could be the unregistered division one winners we are looking for, but if you purchased an entry you haven’t checked yet, you’re in with a chance.
“If you discover you are holding the unregistered division one winning entry, contact NSW Lotteries on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
In 2018, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto created 194 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3931 on Saturday 23 March 2019 were 29, 9, 32, 33, 37 and 39, while the supplementary numbers were 27 and 11.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 3931, two each from Victoria and New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 268 so far this financial year, including 75 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 280 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19 million.
