Wonthaggi man’s New Year’s Day interrupted by $3.3 million TattsLotto win

A man from Wonthaggi has declared 2023 is going to be his year after discovering he’s now a multi-millionaire from the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Victorian was oblivious to his good fortune until an official from The Lott contacted him on New Year’s Day.

“Are you joking?!” he exclaimed when the enormity of his prize was revealed.

“This is not a joke? Sh**!

“It comes as a shock! This is a lot to take in!

“You have no idea how much this means to me. I’m going to get a new home for my family.

“I’m crying! 2023 is my year!”

The man’s winning marked 10-game entry was purchased at Lucky Lotto Wonthaggi Plaza, Kiosk 4, Wonthaggi Plaza, 2 Biggs Drive, Wonthaggi.

Lucky Lotto Wontaggi Plaza owners Gio and Robyn Fantin said they were ready to celebrate the local win.

“We are ecstatic! This is our fourth division one winner in the nine years we’ve had this outlet!” Gio exclaimed.

“We last sold a division one winning entry a few years ago – also in a New Year’s Eve draw.

“It’s great to see a big win land in town. Congratulations to our winner on their life-changing win!”

Essendon dad’s New Year’s Eve celebrations boosted by $3.3 million TattsLotto win

A man from Essendon had an extra reason to celebrate on the weekend after discovering he was now a TattsLotto multi-millionaire moments before midnight on New Year’s Eve.

“It’s crazy!” he declared when confirming his win with an official from The Lott.

“I knew I’d won after about 11pm on New Year’s Eve. I was just going through The Lott app.

“I saw a little icon that I’d had a win, but thought it was probably $30 or something – not $3 million!

“When I opened it up and saw all the numbers lit up! I just couldn’t believe it.

“I told my wife we’d won, but she didn’t believe me.

“I didn’t sleep that night at all. I went to bed at 3am and got up at 4am to check the ticket again.”

The regular TattsLotto player shared he’d marked his winning entry using the same numbers he played each week.

“I’m going to be using this to pay off the house and invest the money for the kids.

“I’m sure there’ll be a holiday in there somewhere too!

“I think I’m still in shock!”

The man’s marked 12-game entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

TattsLotto win brings tears to Dandenong dad’s eyes

A Dandenong man has confessed seeing his TattsLotto entry had scored more than $3.3 million in the weekend’s draw had brought a tear to his eye.

“This win has come at a great time,” he exclaimed.

“I found out about 1am on New Year’s Day when I came home and thought I’d check my ticket.

“I’ve been playing the same numbers for a number of years. Eventually they’ve come up and it’s at just the right time.

“I got a bit teary in the eyes.”

The Victorian admitted he was still reeling from the win and had yet to make any firm plans for his prize, but shared helping his family would be his top priority.

The man’s marked System 7 entry was purchased at Dandenong Plaza Lotto, Kiosk 3K8, Dandenong Plaza, Corner McCrea Street & Walker Street, Dandenong.

A happy crew of 10 Portarlington residents have begun rejoicing after their syndicate scored the state’s fourth division one win in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

In addition to winning division one, the syndicate’s marked System entry also won division three 6 times, boosting their total windfall to $3,338.711.74.

Each of the 10 winning syndicate members receives a share worth $333,871.17.

Shares into the syndicate were purchased at Portarlington Authorised Newsagency, 60 Newcombe Street, Portarlington.

As some syndicate members held unregistered entries, lottery officials are unable to contact them to confirm their winning news.

Anyone who purchased a syndicate entry into the weekend’s TattsLotto draw from Portarlington Authorised Newsagency is encouraged to check their tickets and call The Lott on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.

Portarlington Authorised Newsagency owners Margaret and Mark Maric said the syndicate win was an awesome way for the community to start 2023.

“This is our first division one win since we’ve had the outlet,” Margaret said.

“We’re very happy that we could be a part of something that could change a few people’s lives.

“We would like to wish all our winners a very huge congratulations, and we hope this is a start of a great 2023 for them all.”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4325 on 31 December 2022 were 11, 23, 35, 42, 20 and 45, while the supplementary numbers were 8 and 38.

Across Australia, there were 12 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4325 – four each in Queensland and Victoria, three in New South Wales and one in Western Australia. 60
