St Leonards womanā€™s Saturday night movie interrupted by TattsLotto revelation

A St Leonards woman had her Saturday night movie interrupted by the revelation she won $400,000 in the weekendā€™s TattsLotto draw.

ā€œWe were just watching the Saturday night movie, and the TattsLotto numbers came up on the screen,ā€ she explained when speaking to an official from The Lott.

ā€œWeā€™ve been playing those numbers for a long time. Theyā€™re a mix of our family birthdays and favourite football playersā€™ numbers.

ā€œI thought I recognised about five of them and said, ā€˜I think theyā€™re our numbersā€™.

ā€œThen I checked the ticket about 50 times!

ā€œIt will certainly help us out ā€“ it will help square the mortgage away. Itā€™s a good amount to win. Such great news.

ā€œNow that I know itā€™s real, I donā€™t have to keep checking the ticket!ā€

The woman purchased her winning marked System 8 entry at St Leonards News, Shops 1 & 2, 1376 Murradoc Road, St Leonards.

St Leonards News owner Dale Hancock said he was excited to see a TattsLotto win land in his small community.

ā€œThis is the first time weā€™ve sold a division one winning entry so Iā€™m excited and proud as we are a small community,ā€ he said.

ā€œFor our winner, we hope that your win makes your life easier and happier. We thank you for letting us share in your happy moment.

Thank you to all the community that put so much support behind us getting this outlet in the town four years ago and have continued to support us.ā€

ā€œI discovered the win late Saturday night. I was watching something, and I thought Iā€™d check my numbers.

ā€œI thought, ā€˜they look familiarā€™.

ā€œIā€™ve been playing the same numbers for years, and theyā€™re a mix of family birthdates and my lucky number 13!Iā€™ve always liked the number 13 ā€“ bakerā€™s dozen!

ā€œIā€™ve always felt lucky ā€“ especially with my family ā€“ and now even more so.

ā€œIā€™m going to invest it for the future as Iā€™d like to use the prize to take care of everybody.

ā€œThis is the best phone call Iā€™ve had for a long time!ā€

The man purchased his marked System 8 entry via The Lott app ā€“ the official home of Australiaā€™s lotteries.

ā€œThe last few years have been difficult, but this is just amazing.
