A Virgina player has just qualified as a millionaire after scoring division one in last night’s Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw.
The happy winner held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4068, drawn Monday 12 April 2021 and takes home a division one prize of $1 million.
However, how the winner plans to spend their windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Virginia Lotteries Kiosk, Shopt2a, Virginia Shopping Centre, Old Port Wakefield Road, Virginia.
Virginia Lotteries Kiosk owners Paul and Rose Pogas said they couldn’t be happier about the win.
“We are totally excited, just completely over the moon!” Paul stated.
“All of our customers are so happy for us and the winner.
“The last time we sold a major prize was about two years ago, so we’ve been waiting to sell another.”
“We have sold so many division two and three tickets lately though, so we knew a division one win was just around the corner,” Rose shared.
“We would love to send our congratulations to our winner. It’s fabulous news and we really wish you all the best.
“We love what we do and how we can change people’s lives. We hope to have some more wins soon!”
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was sure the winner was over the moon after discovering their million-dollar news.
“While we may not know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they are very happy to have become an overnight millionaire,” she exclaimed.
“Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge a new car.
“However our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling as long as they can.”
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4068 on Monday 12 April 2021 were 42, 11, 5, 32, 29 and 24, while the supplementary numbers were 22 and 27.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4068 – one entry from South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 333 so far this financial year, including 35 won by SA Lotteries customers.
In 2020, Monday & Wednesday X Lotto created 93 millionaires across Australia.
