One week on from the draw, a Virginia man has come forward as the mystery ticket holder who snared $200,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Adelaide local won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1265, drawn Tuesday 2 April 2019.
The winning ticket was unregistered, which meant SA Lotteries officials had no way of contacting the winner to confirm the life-changing news and had to wait for him to come forward to claim his prize.
Speaking with a SA Lotteries official this afternoon, the winner revealed unbeknownst to him, the winning ticket had been sitting innocently in his car the entire week.
“Thank you very much!” he exclaimed upon hearing the news.
“I was out shopping when I purchased my ticket and afterwards I left the ticket in the car.
“It wasn’t until I came back today to do shopping that I checked it and realised I had a winner!
“I buy about three or four Lucky Lotteries tickets every week. I’ve noticed the jackpot getting higher so was hoping for that!
“I hope you call me for that prize too!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot windfall, the happy winner declared he knew exactly how he would spend it.
“I’ll pay the house off! What a big bonus!” he exclaimed.
“Then after that’s done I might go on a holiday. It’s a beautiful feeling!”
The stoked bloke also confessed he was planning to celebrate the win with a day off work.
“I’ll have to take a day off when it is paid into my account to celebrate!” he laughed.
The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Virginia Lotteries Kiosk, Shop 2a Virginia Shopping Centre, Old Port Wakefield Road, Virginia.
Virginia Lotteries Kiosk recently sold two Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prizes in two consecutive days, but until today, one prize had remained unclaimed.
Virginia Lotteries Kiosk owner Paul Pogas said he was thrilled the winner had been united with this prize.

“It’s so exciting! Especially when the unregistered entry has been claimed by a regular customer and such a lovely man.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $54.04 million for draw 1272 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.66 million for draw 10282.
