A Wagga Wagga woman is revving up for a life in the fast lane with a new set of wheels after scoring a turbo-charged $2.2 million Saturday Lotto prize.
The Riverina resident held one of the nine division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4583 on Saturday 21 June 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $2,222,222.23.
“I’m so excited!” the woman exclaimed when her prize was confirmed by an official from The Lott.
“When I checked my ticket, it said I was the winner! I was speechless.
“I only play Saturday Lotto and I’ve only won two prizes this year - $22 and $8. The guy at the newsagency told me I was saving up to win the big one… and here it is!
“I’ve always said, you don’t need a big ticket, you just need a ticket with all the numbers!
“I won’t retire and will keep working as I love what I do.
“But I will buy a new car! That’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while.
“I’ll also set my family up for the future!
“It’s unbelievable!”
The division one winning entry was purchased at Turvey Tops Newsagency, Shop 2, Turvey Tops Shopping Centre, 44 Fernleigh Road, Wagga Wagga.
Turvey Tops Newsagency owners David and Julie Ritter said the win marked the first time their outlet had sold a division one winning entry in their 11 years of ownership.
“It has been a big talking point with all our customers,” Julie said.
“We’re thrilled one of our lovely, loyal and regular customers has won the prize. It has the potential to be a life-changing win, so the whole team at Turvey Tops Newsagency are excited for them.
“It has been a long time coming, and we are very excited to finally have cracked the division one win and even more excited that it was in a Saturday Lotto Superdraw.”
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4583 on 21 June 2025 were 6, 24, 10, 42, 1 and 30, while the supplementary numbers were 18 and 16.
Across Australia, there were nine division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4583 – two each in Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia, and one in Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 213 so far in 2025, including 59 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In 2024, Saturday Lotto created 149 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 316 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $400.2 million.
