A Warrawee man has remained surprisingly cool, calm, and collected after discovering he had bagged more than $1 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The Sydney resident held one of the five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4473, drawn Saturday 1 June 2024 and pocketed $1,048,013.90.
“I’m good!” he laughed when an official from The Lott revealed the wondrous news.
“Thank you. That’s very exciting.
“I’m pretty calm surprisingly!
“I play regularly. I use different numbers that all have their special meanings.
“That’s great. I’m quite private so I won’t be doing too much to celebrate and I think I’ll keep the news to myself.
“Thank you so much.”
When asked how he planned to use his newfound fortune, the winning man revealed he didn’t have any immediate plans in mind.
“Honestly, bills are the first thing that comes to mind!
“It’ll definitely help a lot. I’m not sure what else at the moment but I’ll have a good think about it.”
The winning marked 12-game entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4473 on 1 June 2024 were 22, 42, 39, 28, 5 and 21, while the supplementary numbers were 13 and 29.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4473 – two in New South Wales, one each in Tasmania, Victoria and Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 382 so far in FY24, including 131 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In 2023, Saturday Lotto created 176 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 303 division one winning in Saturday Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $436 million.
