A Watsonia man is looking forward to working less and relaxing more after winning division one in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw.
The man held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3867 on 11 August 2018. Each entry took home a division one prize of $671,513.12.
Speaking to a Tatts official this morning to confirm his win, the thrilled man confessed he had the pleasure of watching his winning numbers come up as he watched the draw live.
“I know I’ve won because I watched the draw! I checked my ticket myself!” he exclaimed when contacted by a Tatts official.
“I was at home watching the draw on my phone. I waited until the numbers came up on the website to double check the results.
“I usually purchase a System entry, but I thought I’d throw in another 12-game QuickPick.
“I was gobsmacked that was the entry that won! I saw it and thought ‘geeze I’ve won the whole lot here!’”.
The winner also revealed that straight after the win his immediate thought was to retire, but he soon changed his mind.
“I was thinking about retiring but I thought I’d just cut back instead,” the winner declared.
“I’d picked up a few extra hours and I just thought to myself –‘I don’t need to do those anymore’.
“I’ve been working in the same place for a while and I’m not ready to give it up just yet!”
The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 12-game QuickPick entry from 99 Spencer Street Lotto, Southern Street Station, 150 Spencer Street, Melbourne.
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday TattsLotto and Saturday TattsLotto have created 115 millionaires across Australia.
The six winning numbers in Saturday TattsLotto draw 3867 on Saturday 11 August 2018 were 1, 23, 8, 15, 44, and 20. The supplementary numbers were 11 and 18.
Across Australia there were six division one winning entries in Saturday TattsLotto draw 3867 – two each from Queensland and Victoria, and one each from New South Wales and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 249 so far this calendar year, including 104 won by Tatts customers.
